If you are planning to change your car this year but are finding it hard to narrow down your options, especially now that many brands are releasing new models, (not to mention the hype about electric vehicles that is flooding all the car sites on the web) maybe you can take some inspiration from the latest report from Car and Driver.

This famous automobile magazine has gathered the top U.S. bestselling cars in 2023, and although the list is REALLY comprehensive, there are 7 vehicles in particular we believe deserve recognition:
7) GMC Sierra
The first of them is the GMC Sierra. Last year General Motors sold more than 295,000 units across all versions. This pick-up truck has been listed year after year as an American best-selling vehicle across different websites.
This year buyers can get the Sierra 1500 starting at $37,700. Or, if you are looking to get a model with more towing capacity, the GMC Sierra HD can tow up to 36,000 lbs. (under certain conditions) and is shown in the GMC website at an initial price of $45,400.

Talking about the interior, GMC never let us down. The Sierra offers a super spacious interior with luxury finishings, and over 40” of combined diagonal length displays for a comfortable ride for the driver.
6) Honda CR-V
This Japanese SUV has kept the same design from 2017 to 2022. Since last year Honda offered its clients a fresher and modern design. And seems like the public truly liked the new look since Americans bought more than 361,000 units.
it is not surprising to anyone that the Honda CR-V has ample seats for up to 5 passengers, and its new box-like design offers a spacious cargo area.

You can find the 2024 model starting at $29,500 with a considerable fuel efficiency of 28 mpg in the city.
Similar to most Asian automakers who are offering all their best-selling models in their hybrid version, you can also find the CR-V in hybrid at a starting price of $34,050 with a greater fuel efficiency of 43 mpg in the city.
5) Tesla Model Y
In fifth place is the Tesla Model Y, the first and only electric vehicle on this list!
Regardless of the recent event where EV owners have experienced issues with their batteries in freezing temperatures in the North of the country, Tesla is undoubtedly one of the favorite brands among American drivers.
Many reviews consistently describe the 310-mile driving range of the Model Y as ample. With this range, you can drive your Tesla from Los Angeles to Las Vegas with only one charge.
The Performance version of the Model Y offers a powerful engine capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds.

Additionally, this electric vehicle can get the $7,500 Federal tax credit at the point of sale for eligible buyers this year.
Great driving range, high-powered acceleration, top-notch technology, and tax credits are some of the features that have positioned the Tesla Model Y in the list of the most popular cars in 2023.
4) Toyota RAV4
We all know that Toyota is one of the favorite brands in the U.S. The Japanese carmaker produces the American best-selling sedan, and now the RAV4 has become the best-selling SUV in the country selling more than 434,000 units.
Although the RAV4 has had minimal changes year over year, drivers recognize the SUV for its reliability and efficiency.

The 2024 gas model offers 30 miles per gallon (combined MPG) and a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $28,675. And for those drivers looking to save even more in gasoline, the hybrid version has up to 41 mpg and is listed at $31,725.
3) RAM Pickup
Stellantis ranked pretty well last year with its RAM pickup truck. It was not only shown as one of the most popular cars in the country but the RAM was also featured in Motortrend as one of the best trucks competing closely with Ford and Chevrolet.

This year buyers can still find this truck starting at $32,345 in its 1500 Classic version. Or if you are looking for something more luxurious with the quality of Chrysler, then you cannot go wrong with the Ram 1500. It comes with interior noise cancellation for a quiet ride, a 10-square-foot dual-pane sunroof, and extravagant leather seats with a capacity of 5 passengers.
2) Chevrolet Silverado
The Chevy Silverado has been categorized as one of the best full-size pickup trucks for this and the last year by US News.
With sales of more than half a million units, the Chevy Silverado has become a very popular vehicle among Americans. There are debates about the Ram 1500 or the Ford F-150 being better options than the Silverado, but that certainly depends on the drivers’ needs.

Here is our summary: In terms of the towing capacity, we think that the F-150 is better. If you are looking for a luxury and posh ride, the Ram will certainly satisfy your needs.
However, Chevrolet offers a wide variety of versions allowing one to choose a Silverado that meets their needs. An example is the Silverado with a regular cab for only 3 passengers and a long bed of 98.18 in, perfect for daily hard work.
1) Ford F-Series
The America’s most popular pick-up truck last year was the Ford F-series with more than 0.75 million units sold. No wonder why Ford decided to make this model an all-electric version of the F-150 Lightning.
The F-150 is this year listed at a starting price of $36,570 for the XL version, its most affordable offering, a price just right below the GMC Sierra 1500.

For the 2024 model, Ford offers financing options that can help you get a new F-150 XL for as low as $575 per month. Whether you’re exploring off-road, doing heavy-duty work, or going camping with your family, this truck is ideal.
